DEd: Eligibility Criteria To
meet eligibility criteria for DEd programme candidates should clear Class 12th in any stream from a recognised board with minimum 50% – 60% aggregate marks.

Teacher Assistant

Educational Qualification
Candidates need to have completed their graduation in any stream (that is, Arts, Science or Commerce) in order to fulfill B.Ed eligibility criteria. However, most popular B.Ed colleges allow candidates to take part in their admission process for B.Ed course if they have graduated with at least 50-55% aggregate marks at the UG level.Age Limit
For B.Ed admissions in a majority of colleges, there is no age bar. However, admission process of some B.Ed colleges require candidates to be minimum 19 years in age.

Admission to the B.P.Ed.programme is done on through a combination of physical, fitness and academic tests. Students who have passed the exams of class 12 can apply for the programme. Performance in the following tests is evaluated to select students for admission. Academic Test A general English test is conducted for aspiring candidates. Candidates have to secure at least 40% marks in order to be considered for admission. Physical Fitness Test Different physical pursuits are conducted for boys and girls (push-ups, broad jump, yard running, yard dashing and flexing) in order to test their physical abilities. Candidates who will score 50% or more in this test will be considered for admission.Game/ Sport Playing Ability Test Each institution has a list of sports available. Candidates have to select a ‘sport of choice’ for which he or she is examined by the respective university or institute. It is essential to score at least 50% marks in this test. Salary of a B.P.Ed.graduate varies according to the job profile and the experience of the candidate in the field of physical training. A fresh graduate can expect to earn Rs. 2 lakh to Rs. 5 lakh per annum. Coaches and referees earn up to Rs. 5 lakh per annum or more depending on the sports and levels at which they are working (state, national or international level). B.El.Ed – Bachelor of Elementary Education is an undergraduate bachelor’s degree course with 4 year duration. The course trains candidates to deal with children from 6-12 years. It gives an insight into child psychology and cognitive development, theories and practices of elementary education, and holds introductory courses on how to children learn. The training encompasses a set of support, services, and instructions for children with learning disabilities and individually designed programs to meet their learning needs; short attention spans and varied personalities and values. Lessons are also given to establish and enforce rules, developing lesson plans and maintaining order with instructional material. The course is divided into the following phases, the first 3 years focuse on lectures and theory subjects, the second phase which is the remaining one year is dedicated for practical training.Skills required for the course
